Tech Support - Freelance OR Full Time
Description
You will be required to be on hand to fulfil tech support requests from our clients or internally on an ad hoc freelance basis. Approximately 6 hours per week but scope for more when needed - so flexibility required.
We receive a number of client requests for help to install our desktop application version of The Link App for which you will be needed remotely, or occasionally on site.
For each new client added, you will also be a need to input data into our database after you’ve retrieved a specific data set from them, via a pro forma spreadsheet. For this you should have experience of relational databases and be familiar with cPanel and phpMyAdmin to input this.
You will also have a high level of attention to detail and be prompt in responses to requests for work as we will usually require a response within 24 hours for tech queries and a 48 hour turnaround for specific tasks.
The position also requires the successful applicant to maintain and extend our existing framework used to administrate the system. This requires advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented PHP, relational databases (MySQL), MVC patterns and front-end development including jQuery and Angular JS.
Pay for this position is £12-15 an hour depending on experience.
